In preparation for next week’s #scichat discussion (Implementing Science Inquiry), check out these great blogs:
- Tyler Rice‘s blog Wisdom Begins with Wonder has had a string of great posts on inquiry in the past month. His most recent discusses how he does it.
- Ben Paulson is new to blogging and twitter, and has some interesting ideas (WIPs) for teaching science. My favorite post so far is on dissecting samosas, but his most recent is on encouraging skepticism among our students.
- This teacher posts about her experience in a chemistry modeling workshop, and her journey towards a more student-centered, inquiry-based curriculum.
- Frank Noschese has created a video library of hooks for physics topics. He calls it Win? Fail? Physics!, and it is based in part on Dan Meyer‘s WCYDWT (What can you do with this?) blog series. Read more about it here.
If you’ve found a great blog or resource on teaching inquiry, post a link in the comments!
